I have an announcement to make about this game. I've been away on holiday last month but the game's been on hiatus. Ideas about writing is one of the reasons but the main reason is resources. I don't think I have the right images needed for this. This isn't an adult game, it's going to be more tame than anything. I am worried about adding in the wrong image.

So I think if it gets to it, I may have to commission an artist to draw images for my game. Now I have a small income and commissions do not come cheap. Doing this will means I would have to place a price on this game. Now i'm not going to be a greedy asshole about the price. I assure you, it would be cheap. Much cheaper than say, anything on MTJPub. But I would need to regain money lost from these commissions. I'll set up a Paypal account for the whole thing. Heck, I might even get into contact with a publisher like MTJPub so the downloads are automatic after the transaction.

But yeah, just a warning if it comes to that.

I second this. There's a whole lot of images on the net that are sexy without being pornographic. I have a huge number of pics stored that fit this criteria. I could send them to you or help you find what you're looking for on places like Gelbooru.

Still, I wouldn't be adversed to you charging a small fee for the amount of time you put into this game. It kinda surprises me that Screamer doesn't.

Hey guys, sorry to double post but I have to let you know that the first episode of Chaos Tower has now been released! I was originally going to put out the full game but since i've had a long hiatus and have not told you guys anything, this is my way of apologizing and making it up to you. The first episode includes the first area of the tower: The forest area.

Now i've only beta tested with one character so I can focus on ironing out bugs and typos, so let me know if there's any problems with the other classes, whether it be leveling or stats or even bugs in the classes. I suggest you start a new game because i've also changed some of the dialogue. Plus it's been a while so you'll want to brush up on the game's mechanics anyway.

The file is small because I didn't include the RTP. I'm assuming you all have the RTP for VX Ace. If not, go get it.

Also make sure you visit the town every time you save a villager. You'll get rewards for it.

EDIT: Oh and you'll be seeing original artwork of Monster Girls by Bashiku soon. That was part of the deal me and him had.

A quick bug I may have found, it seems that the initial forest scene repeats itself indefinitely until you win. I tried passing a few times, but kept getting the loss/wake up scene. It wasn't until I won and was brought back to the house that the next time I could pass through without an event. I'm not sure if that was by design, or if it was a bug.

Sorry to make the first response to this a possible bug report. Everything so far looks really good, and can't wait to see what's in the tower 🙂.

Another thing that I noticed was that the dungeon seems to regenerate after a miniboss fight. Not sure if it's like that on purpose or not.

Looks like it was regenerated while I was there, but when I left and returned the first iteration was there again.

No, that "regeneration" should not happen and I thought I ironed out that
bug. Also I found the forest event bug. A control switch wasn't turned on. Both have been fixed now and there's now a new upload for the fix.

I'd tend to agree with that, I really like how there's different reactions and that there's status effects that go along with them, it feels like there's more strategy involved when the choices mean something, and that something changes in different situations. More interesting than, say, hit any button to do 80 damage. I finished the playthrough as one class and I think you've really got a good start with a lot of good ideas on this one.

I like the boss rush idea, but Drider is a mini-boss, right? So why not have a mini-boss (or two) attached to each boss? That way there could be more fights without needing an extra grid. However, you could have multiple grids. A boss grid, mini-boss grid, and maybe a special encounter grid.

Hmmm... Maybe.

I'm adding all mini and normal bosses in separate spaces which will total to 8 bosses. There's a reason I designed the grid like this. 😉

As for the midbattle scene, probably not but we'll see.

It doesn't have to be mid-battle, it could be out of battle or a game-over.

That is, unless you ment trying to put in a scene that's better than the Lady Venus mid-battle scene. In which case it's your decision. I'll keep waiting for someone to finally best it. I feel like your game is gonna be awesome, regardless.

On a side note: I noticed all the girls have a spot they react to and a special move of some kind, except one. The Cowgirl doesn't react to any place she's tickled at and doesn't seem to have any sort of special move. Is this intentional or did you forget something?
