There isn't an option to target the ribs. I'm using the rouge, so maybe that's why.
Ah crap. I'll have to fix that up when I get back.
Heh, guess I inadvertantly found a bug. Glad I could help. 🙂
two bugs I found:
- when returning to the inn after getting the mission to scout the Chaos Tower there appears a second barkeeper in front of the bar where you can get a room or a drink. It looks like a bug since the original barkeeper is still there but you can't talk to her anymore.
- I think at the stairs between third and fourth floor I managed to run through the stairs and was walking on the walls. I usually run with shift pressed, maybe you want to look into that thing. Should be fixed if you add another teleport square above the first.
Other things:
- I think it would be even cooler if you still have the pic of the boss while reading the defeat/end scene (like in Tower of Gargalesis)
- I'm not sure if the monsters could use a small gold boost. I'm very happy about the spawn rate, since in other games the encouters are really annoying if you just try to get somewhere, but a monster only gives 10-15 gold. Since a full heal costs 30 gold, you need to kill 2-3 monsters and can't buy new potions, equip or teleports. But maybe it's okay if you grind more than I do 😀
Just wanted to pop in and say I like the start of your game. Decent plot, 3 classes, decent gameplay. While nothing stands out as phenomenal, it looks solid and worthwhile. I got to the end of the Hana battle. Too bad nothing happened at the end of that, but hopefully its in the works. A few thoughts, if I may:
-I like the weaknesses the random encounters have. But I think it'd be cooler if their specials had a little more impact. For example, the oni restrains you, then if she gets another turn just uses a random tickle. It'd be cool to be her do a special follow up she can only do in that situation.
-Overall the difficulty is pretty easy. As a rogue I could easily take down Hana if I spam specials. Although the SP system feels a little random. Not in a bad way, but I could use a 15 attack move every other turn. It made random encounters potential one hit affairs.
-I don't understand why I should ever use physical violence over tickling. I always chose tickle skills. Is the game going to give a situation or incentive to have an appropriate physical attack?
-It would be cool to flesh out the writing more. Game over dialogue for all the low enemies, something a little more fleshed out for the boss battles… but I understand that's a lot of work.
-Last comment: Really enjoyed that Hana liked having her belly tickled. Surprising, and a nice touch. Keep up the good work, man!
Aside from some writing, no.hey, is there any difference between male and female playthroughs?
Will have to create a function to skip game over dialogue too because that can get tedious after a while.
none can help me? T.T I can't play the game for that font problem 🙁
Alright finished the first episode and here's my initial impression:
I quite liked how each foe had a unique tickling sweet spot and a unique reaction, though it would have been better if each enemy class could have had a unique attack and a game over scene as well.
The belly tickling with Hana (hana means flower in Japanese, I see what you did there) was quite amusing, as was the feet tickling bit when you use leg lock. I have to be honest though, leg lock was overpowered. I got it right at the start and beat Hana at Level 3. It's just too advantageous to get two free attacks. You get the SP right back so you can keep spamming it. I love using it, but I think it's a little unfair.
No tickle scene for beating Hana was sad too, though at least we got one for Drider so I shouldn't complain.
The main thing is that leg lock is too good. After I got toe tickle and belly rake from beating the miniboss and boss, I realized that since they cost so much SP I would more or less never use them (rather spam leg lock instead) so you gotta give it some thought as to how you could balance that.
Another bug I noticed is that auto-revive seems to not do anything. I was a warrior and it didn't do jack as I died. Depressing.
And the last thing is that I would never use the plain old attack button unless my skills were blocked out when I was facing drider. Oh btw, how does leg lock work against her anyway? She has so many legs and she looks massive. I don't think my petite warrior could pin her down 😛
Well Hana's weakness was supposed to be a puzzle. How exactly do you defeat her easily?
Also the SP is high because the skills are powerful. I changed Belly Rake and Leg Lock but that's it.
Damn. The auto-revive should be working. I'll try and fix it up.
And I have no idea how you can leg lock her. Why are you able to suplex a train in Final Fantasy 6? Besides, she's immune to tickling at her feet.
He's referring to Sabin being able to suplex the ghost train.
Ehhh, well it's just that the SP for those two moves are higher than leg lock, and thus I just found myself never using it. I would rather leg lock, because I would get two free hits where I could try to find the foe's ticklish spot. Perhaps doubling the SP to 20 would be good, because otherwise it's just so easy to spam it every turn (you get 10 SP from two successful hits anyway).
Hey, I don't know how. I just fought Hana at level 3 with a warrior, first turn I hit her with leg lock and it says something about how her feet are really soft and ticklish because they've been in the flower all the time and how Kyrina (?) must punish her by tickling her feet. She then takes 200 damage. I can only tickle her feet when she's trapped by leg lock though. Then I basically tickle her feet (for massive damage) then when she gets out I leg lock her, rinse and repeat.
And I never played Final Fantasy 6 so I don't get what you mean by your train remark.
I just googled "vxace missing font" and this was my first hit. It should fix your problem.
