Whatchu playing?

I haven't played MGS5 (mostly due to my little Ground Zeroes fiasco), but everyone on my friends list is playing it. I've heard great things about the single player, and one or two mixed opinions about the online.

As for me, I'm playing Mad Max. Twisted Metal meets Fallout? Sold. Amazing graphics, some fun variety in the game's activities, massive upgrade tree, plus some fodder for my "abandoned things and places" obsession. Car handling took a little while to get used to, but the combat is plenty of fun, so it was worth it.

I know I've mentioned this twice already, but I'm not gonna stop banging on about it until either I play it or someone else plays it and tells me about it.
(In other words, I demand someone shell out close to $500 to get all of the equipment to play this game and tell me if it's worth it)

Oh and also it's apparently up for download now.

This be what I'm talkin' about.

And this be the download and install instructions.

As for when I do escape? Most likely get caught and get sent to prison number 4 (which is some kind of jungle compound prison like in Rambo, I think).

A prisoner in our current era only has two real hopes for escape:

1: He or she gets released somehow (parole, sentence ends, new trial, etc etc) and is able to get their criminal record expunged from the system somehow.

2: A epidemic the likes of which mankind has not seen yet occurs and wipes out 99.9% of humanity and you somehow survive and manage to escape from the prison somehow (either by release due to prison operator's inability to maintain the prison or you escape on your own).

Both options are, unfortunately, quite bleak in their occurrence. 🙁

But back to the subject at hands, I'm currently attempting to defeat the Knights of the Round Primal in the Final Fantasy XV expansion. 😀

Finally got around to playing Undertale since so many people just will not stop praising the hell outta it. It's good but I feel I went in pretty bitter and expected way too much out of it because of all the praise

I liked Undertale a lot but I can sort of see where you're coming from. It's way too over-hyped.

I have friends who continue to reference Undertale even when they're the only one around who've played it xD so yeah, it's overhyped, will probably still play it when we can.

Also, here's where K earns her weekly dose of friendly flak. I've been playing Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon like it was going to blow up if I didn't finish it soon, and I have been enjoying the hell out of it. Best in the series so far-better dungeons (without being impossibly long), better storyline with twists I didn't see coming, new mechanics that make it more fun to dungeon crawl, and more choice in who you play as.

Yeah 'scuse me, I gotta go finish it >_>

I may have contributed to the over-hype... And yeah, as someone who loves it, I can say that's it's extraordinarily over-hyped.

To be fair I don't think the game is bad by any means, just my personal friends made me think I was missing out on the best indie game to ever be released, when in reality it's an rpg with bullet hell combat style that is heavily story oriented.

I generally hate all rpgs so the fact I played through its entirety is a testament to how fresh it is, so the game in itself is not bad, but the fanbase not just my friends, is toxic with spreading spoilers about which is not cool.

Let me guess, you were told to play a 'specific way' to get a 'certain ending' or someshit rather than just figuring things out for yourself?

Oh if only it were just that, without going into deets cause of spoilers basically I had one of the biggest tweests given away to me, so the "reveal" near the end was much less of an impact than it should have been.

Playing Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengenace. Not usually an RPG person - I have a short attention span and get overwhelmed by too many options - but I felt like trying something new, so picked it up. Enjoying it so far - I hope I can stick with it.

Also playing Risk (yes, the board game) against the computer. COMPUTER CHEATS, COMPUTER CHEATS, COMPUTER CHEATS!!!! Still fun, though.

Oooo, Disgaea huh? Yeah, that's a fun series.

I often wish Square / Enix would produce a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics (not the Advanced series but the 1st game).

Also, yeah, TeamFourStar's "Renegade for Life" is hilarious. I just wish they would do another "Two Saiyans Play". I love to see Nappa tormenting Vegeta. 😉 😀

Playing Xenoverse with a mod for more hair options for a female Saiyan and hoping to high holy hell it won't prevent me from taking her into online play.

I started a nuzlocke of fire red. Osu, if it counts *shrugs* Mario kart, smash brothers, Skyrim, borderlands 2, I really need to finish these games, huh?

Since I finally have semi-stable internet for a few weeks, I plan on getting into Guild Wars 2.

I could play that with you if you'd like. =o I've been taking a break from it recently but I've put lots of time into that game.

As of right now though I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles X and Heroes of the Storm with some W I Z A R D P O K E R mixed in occasionally.

Mario Kart and Smash Brothers are unfinishable as they don't really have endings as far as I know (I mean, you can unlock everything but still play them).

Skyrim is great because you can take as long as you want before starting down the road of the main storyline (which eventually leads to the final showdown). 😀

I don't know much about Borderlands but I've got a date to play it with my sis and her wife Rox. I'm thinking I'll play as Axton but I'm hoping he at least gets an ability that let's his turret move or to deploy multiple turrets.

What level are you? Right now I'm just making a few characters to test how each class feels.

I've got two characters at 80 and a Revenant somewhere in the 'between 1 and 50' stage.

But since levels scale down to what zone you're in it shouldn't matter too much.

Yo sistah. I've put over 300 hours onto GW2. If you need or want a tag-along to explain shit to you, or just go on quests with you, I have some characters I needa level up. Didn't get Heart of Thorns though so I won't be of much help there.

If memory serves:

Elementalist - Lv80
Thief - 80
Guardian - 50ish
Ranger - 40 something
Warrior - 80
Necromancer - near 70
Mesmer - Never been

Though you're gonna need to let me know here if you want me to start actually logging on again. I tend to take VEERRRYYY long hiatuses from MMOs. I once took about a year off of GW. And a few months before that. So that 300 hours is over the course of the last 3 years or so.

I can also introduce you to a guild of extremely nice folks who I am convinced play NOTHING ELSE but GW, and have been logging on every day for longer than I've even had the game, so they'll always be there for ya. Though they aren't "Like us" as far as I know, so I'd keep that whole thing on the down low. They won't judge, but I'd still rather save myself the blood pressure.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll entrust you with my skype. (Or Steam) As in my *main* skype. That would make you the only person able to draw the connection between "Cryptic7" and the other alias I go by when doing almost everything else online. The same skype that my actual IRL friends hit me up with.

That will allow you to drag my happy ass into GW whenever you want a helping hand or ask a quick question whenever I'm not busy.
(Which is almost always, if you see me online)

Fk I've been typing way more than I probably needed to. Oh well, I'm bored. Time well enough spent. Mayhaps wee three can all get together and wrek some shit up. I found THE BEST method of pranking people. Theres this spot where you can get under the map, and swim around like in water. Your name will appear just above the ground but your character will be out of view to the above people. I like convincing people that I'm a ghost that got trapped in the game, and talk them into doing some bullshit to "Free" me. Or just generally confusing the fuck out of people. Oohhh, good times...

How complicated is Guild Wars? Is it tough to learn for someone who hasn't MMORPG'd in awhile?

At least to begin with I think it's fairly simple. I have yet to reach above lvl 16, but I know that at higher levels there are a shit ton of skills to choose between. Heck, even right now I have about 3 or 4 different skills that there's no room for on the quickbar... hotbar? Whatever the 1-9 buttons are. It puts a lot more emphasis on exploring the world than any other MMO I've played, and exploring is actually a good way to level up. That, heart quests, and the random events (which are one of the few things I've seen in an mmo that actually gets random players to play together) are the best ways to level up.
