Whatchu playing?

Also, interesting tidbit - I recently heard on one of those YouTube lists (Danger Dolan or Gameranx I think) that Lara's massive breast size in the original Tomb Raider was actually a programming error that got approved by the team before the coder could rectify it. Take it with a pinch of salt, but if it's true, it's funny.

You do realize that we are talking about game developers. You'd have a harder time proving that they DIDN'T actually do this.

I got Etrian Odyssey Untold for $10 on the EShop, so I've been playing that. I tried the old ones, but I prefer a game with an actual story.

Picked up Hotline Miami in a sale for $2. Got obsessed with it. HATED it. But could NOT stop playing it. Completed it, furious. Started again. I screamed, I raged, but I played and played. I unlocked everything.

Now I have Hotline Miami 2. I play it all day. I HATE it. It drives me crazy. Some of the deaths are truly cheap. But I can NOT STOP PLAYING IT.

I play them. I feel elation when I win, but when times are hard, I scream and I wonder why I ever bought it. But then I go back to it and we play some more. It hurts so much, but I can't imagine life without it. Is this love? Or just passion?

For me, Hotline Miami is the 'angry sex' of gaming.

I think Hotline Miami es a jewel of the videogames... the 2 is kinda strange, but it's very fun because the switch of characteres makes you play with different abilities, and don't chose a mask and use it in every single level (like everyone does in Hotline Miami 1). The game is great, but I understand you, when you play you feel the Level Designer hates you.

I've been playing The Binding of Isaac:Afterbirth, and I recommend it. The Chroma Squad is very fun too

Currently playing Guns of Icarus. 😀

The enemy airships shall KNOW MY FURY!

Mwahahahahaha!

I still have a gift copy of that in my Steam library.

I'm never gonna use it, so if you got any friends that wanna try the game out with ya, just hit me up.

I now have Etrian Odyssey, the new Smash DLC, Dungeon Travelers 2, and Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (the last two were on sale on PSN.) So lots of long ass RPGs.

Thanks dude but sadly my keyboard and controller both decided to be naughty and not work anymore so, yeah, I'm gonna have to wait until I can afford two new ones. 🙁

I'll be sure to hit you up on the team up though when I can though. WE'LL CLEANSE THE SKIES OF THEIR ACCURSED AIRSHIPS! THEY SHALL NOT LIVE TO SEE TOMORROW! 😉 😀

Also, you all know what I'd wish they'd remake (I mean, ASIDE from Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, TMNT 3: The Manhanttan Project, etc etc)? SUPER MARIO RPG: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS! Add more characters (Luigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Wario, and Walugi maybe), add more moves and unlockable stuff, and give it a whole BUNCH of new enemies / bosses! 😀

A remake of Super Mario RPG would be freakin' amazing! 😱 The Paper Mario games were gems of their own, but a legit redoing of that classic game would seriously knock my socks off - and we all know how much Dalekfire luuuvs his socks! x3

Tried my hand at Undertale at a friends house and got my ass handed to me. 🙁

Actually been playing a bunch of Smash Bros myself lately. I play Kirby, Mewtwo, and Zelda. I just recently found out you can watch online matches and bet gold on the outcomes. !!! A safe outlet for my gambling-fondness! 😀 It's as addictive as actually PLAYING is. Now if only there were a way I could bet some REAL money and win me some of that DLC. 😛 I've seen Bayonetta in action - I'd like to try her out. Ryu, surprisingly, looks fun, too.

EDIT: Ialso have to point out that gold-betting is available in both the WiiU and 3DS versions of the game. I'd also like to state that Smash is probably, in my opinion, the best console-to-handheld conversion I've ever seen. It looks very nearly as pretty and plays every bit as well as its big screen counterpart.

I find myself leaning towards the sword fighters. I prefer a nippier character in anything I play, so far I think Marth has been my favorite.

Eagerly awaiting the re-release of Twilight Princess next month, so in the mean time, in between a few dozen Smash Bros fights per day, I'm trying to finish up a few older games I never quite got through. Did some Watch Dogs tonight. Pretty good game, nice concept. The graphics are nice, the hacking mechanics are a lot of fun (if you can suspend your disbelief - puts Hollywood "hacking" to shame in terms of corniness). Not so convinced that I like the actual missions, though. I'm finding some of them a bit cumbersome. I think this is a game that could benefit from a sequel to refine it a bit.

A little late on the Smash Bros discussion, but I would have to say Ganondorf as my main, followed by a mix of Corrin, Yoshi, and Shulk, with some practice as Bayonetta and Cloud now that I downloaded them.

Oh. My. Gawd.

Okay, so there's this game called Project X Zone 2 that came out. The mechanics are a little strange in that it's a turn-based strategy game in the battle field screen but once you start a fight it becomes something of a fighting game with the point to juggle the opponent for as long as possible.

You guys, this game is a crossover of SO many character franchises. Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Megaman, and freaking Yakuza, my favorite lesser-known fandom, along with many others. Ken Masters, Morrigan, and Kazuma Kiryu can all fight together at once. The whole joy of this game is the interplay and banter between the characters.

I'm downloading it as I'm typing this >_>;; If I'm not around as much for the night and maybe the next few, blame this game. I will probably update on how amazing this game is.

._.

Karen is excite.

Update: Okay yeah I'm loving this. I'm only on stage 7 so far but it's awesome. It's very text heavy and the actual gameplay isn't as deep as a lot of turn based rpgs are (so far--it's very early days yet) but that's okay because I'm not looking for anything too deep, personally. I just love the character interactions xD The plot is an absolutely mentally twisty crossover with all your favorite videogame characters, and on paper it would sound like a really, really bad fanfic but it's hilarious and it works \o/
